A SMALL PRESS. BIG IDEAS.
About Foxtail Green Press
Foxtail Green Press is an independent publishing imprint based in Scotland, founded by writer James McCoy.
We publish books with distinctive voices, from entertaining observations about modern working life to imaginative adventures for younger readers.
We’re a small, independent press with a growing catalogue and a simple ambition: to publish books that make people laugh, think and occasionally see the world differently.
Meet the founder
Foxtail Green Press was founded in 2026 by James McCoy, a writer based in Edinburgh, Scotland with a background in research, communication and business strategy.
James is the author of Don’t Reach Out: Bringing English Back to Business, a humorous examination of the language of modern working life.
Writing as JR McCoy, he is also the creator of the Wolsey’s Adventures children’s books, which inspired the name Foxtail Green Press.
As the press grows, James hopes to introduce readers to new authors and original voices.
